DRA Overview
DRA stands for Debt Recovery Agent.The Debt Recovery sector is growing by leaps and bounds every year and there is acute shortage of Certified DRAs in the country.
Reserve Bank has requested the Indian Banks Association to formulate, in consultation with Indian Institute of Banking and Finance (IIBF), a certificate course for Direct Sales Agents / Direct Marketing Agents / Debt Recovery Agents with minimum 100 hours of training.
It is also stipulated by RBI that banks should ensure that all their Recovery Agents undergo this training and obtain the certificate from IIBF.
The service providers engaged by banks should also employ only such personnel who have undergone the above training and obtained the certificate from the IIBF. Empower PragatiVocational & Staffing Pvt. Ltd. has been accredited by IIBF to conduct DRA training at all its centers.

Rural BPO Overview
Rural India's spend on consumer goods is between 40 to 60%, while their contribution to GDP is less than 30%. There are over 100 million skilled rural youth, who are unemployed. To provide employment to the rural youth and to reduce migration to urban areas; Empower Pragati is setting up Rural BPOs. This will help Corporates in outsourcing their key processes to us with a cost benefit and without compromising on the quality of their deliverables. This would also help them in meeting their 'Corporate Social Responsibility'.

The Dual-Need
The Indian economy's impressive growth this decade has generated new livelihood positions in the service sector fields. Due to a lack of opportunity, rural people are migrating to cities to seek these positions. Unfortunately, these people do not have access to information, knowhow or training to appropriately operate in urban life and pursue these employment opportunities. Relegated to slums, these citizens add to the growing population at the base of the pyramid. Critical development issues, unemployment and incomplete education have severe consequences including insufficient income, exploitative markets, poor health - all factors that prolong the cycle of poverty. Meanwhile, even in recessionary periods, the demand for service sector labor is strong as is the need the need for constant and reliable labor.
Although much of India employs domestic workers, the freelance and unorganized nature of the industry adversely impacts quality, reliability, and safety. Meanwhile, India's urban cities are trending towards nuclear households. With only two adults in the home, there is not enough capacity either to assume home care responsibility or to supervise a domestic worker.

The Innovation
Pragati has linked urban development with the growing service sector of India's economy; this is an emerging market area that needs to be utilized. Our innovative and customized training module for all of our programs generally last three months and consists of classroom and on the job training that are carefully derived from market scans and employer input. We integrate work readiness, English communication, and life skills development into and the 4Cs (communication, confidence, computers, and customer service) into our trainees. As a result, our youth are not only capable of outstanding performance but eager to succeed. Pragati is bridging the gap between BOP livelihoods and growing service sector demands.
Home Managers Overview
The Dual-Need
"In the metropolitans and urban areas of our country, lakhs of poor women and girls earn their livelihood working in houses as housemaids...generally work in two shifts, morning and evening, daily, without any leave...they are paid meagerly by the household employers. If due to illness or some other urgency the housemaids do not attend their work for a few days, their wages are deducted and many a time verbally fired from the job... [they] are sexually harassed in the households but they have no other option but to work for earning their livelihood."
Empower Pragati is in the process of transforming the driver profession and our aim is to make them into fully trained and skilled chaffeurs through the following training:
- Soft skills - basic courtesy, etiquette, elementary English etc.
- Driving skills - road signs, driving in various conditions and terrains, precautions to be taken etc.
- Basic maintenance and upkeep of the vehicle - tyre change, battery maintenance, service schedule etc.
We will be teaching driving to the untrained people and making better drivers from the existing drivers. Once they are fully trained, Empower Pragati will be employing them on our rolls and they would be available to Corporates and Individuals for hiring. Empower Pragati will take care of their PF, ESI etc. and provide replacement to the end customer as a part of our service.
Saksham Overview
Saksham provides training and livelihood opportunities to disadvantaged youth residing in BPL rural areas. Many rural youth migrate to urban areas to see new positions. Unfortunately, they do not have access to information, knowhow or training to appropriately operate in urban life and pursue these employment opportunities. Saksham prepares rural youth with vocational and life skill sets and will identify and secure urban-based employment positions.
